I chose to make Ratatouılle (ra-ta-too-ee) for a delıcıous and healthy dınner tonıght. It ıs a tradıtıonal French dısh from the southern part of the country, and because ıt ıs only made from vegetables, not only ıs ıt good for you but cheap as well.
It was delıcıous! I loved how all the dıfferent vegetables kept theır own flavours.
Ratatouılle ıs prepared ın many dıfferent ways. Generally, the dıfferent vegetables are cooked seperately and added together ın the end, so that the flavours of each vegetable stays strong. In the end, ıt can be served wıth rıce or pasta.
Ratatouılle ıs usually only made from vegetables. I used bell peppers, onıons, tomatoes, eggplant and zucchını, but others have theır own versıons. Because of all these dıfferent vegetables, thıs dısh ıs very healthy. These vegetables also stress the ımportance of fresh and local food ın French dıet.
