Our dream Destination – Barcelona, Spain
Hola amigos! Como estas? This is how we say “Hey friends, how are you?” in Spanish. I was in Barcelona, Spain, my dream destination, last week with my husband. It was one of the most amazing weeks of my life. I was eating tapas food, moving around Las Ramblas, the most famous shopping avenue in Barcelona, and enjoying at the Camp Nou football stadium.
How far did we travel this week?
This week we had been travelling a lot. We drove from Fontainbleau to Paris Airport to catch a flight to Barcelona. Our flight took nearly 1 hour 30 minutes to reach to Barcelona. We travelled almost 50 miles from Fontainbleau to Paris and 506 miles (which is almost 815 kilometres) from Paris to Barcelona.
How far have we travelled on our journey so far?
In Barcelona, our first journey started with a taxi ride from airport to the hotel, which we booked it in advance. Finding a taxi was not difficult at all as plenty of them were available easily. During our five days journey we were sightseeing by foot, meaning that most of the time we were walking. We used the metro to get to the tourist attractions that were a little farther away from our hotel.
How did we travel this week?
Most of the time we were walking to get the better idea of the location, but we also travelled by buses and metros which were very convenient.
What was the most interesting place we visited last week?
According to me, Barcelona has all the best places of interest in the world! After all, it is my dream destination! We could cover most of them luckily. Camp Nou, the world famous football stadium was one of the best places I have ever visited!

We visited many world famous tourist attractions in Barcelona, like La Sagrada Familia, one of the most famous churches, Camp Nou, the best football stadium, and its museum, and also Las Ramblas, the best avenue for shopping and eating.

This week had been pretty pleasant. It was sunny most of the time, just cloudy for a day, and no rain.
What was the coolest thing we saw in Nature this week?
Nature had been very supportive firstly and allowed us to enjoy our trip. Moreover, walking along the Mediterranean Coast was so romantic and lovely!

It had been amazingly busy week. We were enjoying the splendid Mediterranean Beach. Mediterranean Sea is a sea connected to the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by Mediterranean Region. This basin covers the portion of three continents Europe, Asia and Africa. I was amazed with the attractive and black colour sea water.
What languages are spoken here?
Though Spanish is a main language of Barcelona, Spain, English is widely spoken at most of the places. Spanish here is called Castilian. Basque and Galician are also native to Spain.
What type of money is used here?
As I said earlier euro is the main currency of Europe, U.S dollars also can be used at the tourist places and at the hotels.
How much does a water bottle cost?
A 1.5 litre water bottle is 1.50 euro in Barcelona. From street vendor to normal shop, you get it in the same price.
I was surprised to find the new category of food called tapas. Spain is famous for its tapas food. Tapas means very small portion of food which is available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties. Regardless of the amount, the food is very healthy. Tapas usually includes various salads, roasted potatoes, plenty of olives, eggplants, fried rice and some pickles.
Which music did we listen this week?
We enjoyed the most famous Spanish music called Flamenco, which can’t stop you from dancing and gives pleasure.
What activity was the most fun?
Listening to the passionate music and Flamenco dance show were the most amazing activities which I did.
What games or sport did I play his week?
Soccer, which I didn’t play myself but watched, is the most thrilling game to watch live! I saw it being played at the stadium!
