Where do you live?

Hamrun, Malta

Q: What is your house like?

A: My house is very big, with lots of rooms.  Sometimes it’s quiet and sometimes it’s noisy.  There are about 2-3 floors.  My favourite room in the house is the Living Room because that is where the T.V. is and it is very comfortable to lay on the sofa and relax.

Q: What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

A: For breakfast I eat cereal.  For lunch I have a lighter meal like a sandwich and a snack.  For dinner I have a heavier meal of either fish or meat and vegetables.

Q: What chores do you have at home?

A: I have to clean my room, water the plants and wipe the dishes, although I admit that I don’t do it all of the time.

Q: What jobs do your parents have?

A: My mother is a housewife and my father is a salesman.  He sells sweets (candy).

Q: What time does school start, and what time do you go home?

A: School starts around 8:20am for Assembly and I am usually home by 3pm.

Q: How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?

A: In the morning, either my friend’s mom brings me to school or my father drives me.  In the afternoon, my parents pick me up from school.

Q: What do you eat for lunch, and where do you eat? What is your favorite food?

A: I usually have a sandwich and eat in the courtyard of the school with my friends.  My favourite food is fish-all kinds and any sort of meat (roast).

Q: What language do you speak at school? How do you say “Hello”? in your language?

A: At school I speak English, Maltese and Italian. There is no official Maltese way of saying hello,                                          Pizzaria                                   we use terms like “Bonjour” like the French and “kif int” which means “how are you?”.                                (traditionl maltese  fast food)

Q: What are some common kids’ names at your school?

A: Some common kids’ names in school are Mariah and Kimberly.

Q: What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?

A: The subjects I study in school are Maths, Maltese, Home Economics, Social Studies, Religion, Geography, English, Italian and Science.  I love Italian and Science and also enjoy English as well.

Q: What is your homework like?

A: We don’t get much homework, it is usually a couple of exercises from a workbook or a writing assignment.

Q: What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?

A: I like to chat with my friends on the computer or play a computer game.  I don’t really play sports but I do like Volleyball.

Q: Who is your favorite famous person?

A: Niall Horan of One Direction is my favourite famous person.

Q: What kinds of music do you listen to?

A: I like to listen to Pop, Rock and some Heavy Metal, but only once in a while.

Q: What would you like to be when you grow up?

A: I would like to be a Veterinarian or a Teacher.

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: I would love to go to New Jersey because I would love to visit Carlo’s Bakery of Cake Boss because I love to bake or somewhere there is snow since we don’t get snow here.

Q: What do you know or think about the United States?

A: I know it is a very large place with lots of shopping and T.V. is huge there.

Q: What questions do you have for kids in the United States?

A: I would love to know how students in the United States spend their day?                    A Park near Donia’s House

Q: What are some of your favorite places in Malta?

A: Some of my favorite places in Malta are Sliema, Bay Street or Tigne Point because that is where all the shops are and I love to go shopping.
